A CHAMPION
FOR KIDS

I am “A Champion for Kids.”
Won’t you be, too?

For thirty years, I have dedicated my career to educating, mentoring, and preparing our youth to pursue their dreams. I am now running for the El Rancho Unified School Board and humbly ask for your support.

My wife and I have four children, all of whom have attended schools in the district. As a parent and member of the School Site Council since 2019 and on the District Advisory Council, I have seen our children's needs first-hand. That’s why I decided to run for office. I’d like to bring my professional experience and passion for helping youth to the district.

I will fight for:

  • Increased resources for our students to succeed and for our teachers
  • More parent involvement
  • Better School Safety
  • Steady leadership in our district employees

Please join me in this effort by giving me your VOTE and considering a donation to my campaign.

Let’s all be Champions for Kids!

My Story

I was born in Sinaloa, Mexico, raised in East Los Angeles, my family grew up under very difficult circumstances, but we were resilient and persevered. I am fluent in Spanish and live a very bi-cultural life, having embraced the American way of life but also staying very connected to my Mexican roots. My family has lived in Pico Rivera since 1991. My wife Alicia and I have four wonderful kids, Emiliano, Joaquin, Viany and Alina along with our dog Bruno and cat MJ.

Professionally, my 30-year career has been as a nonprofit executive focused on servant leadership and on educating, mentoring and preparing our youth to work towards achieving their dreams and improving our communities. I have had the good fortune of leading and serving in executive leadership roles in the following national and local organizations, INROADS, Big Brothers Big Sisters, After-School All-Stars, Families Forward Learning Center, the American Red Cross and currently with Boys & Girls Clubs of America.

I have worked in early childhood education, after-school/expanded learning, mentoring, adult and parent education, workforce and professional development, Diversity Equity and Inclusion, and emergency response/management. I’ve been an AYSO volunteer for 12 years, as a coach, referee, and Board member.

It would be an honor and a privilege to bring my professional experience and personal passion as a youth advocate by serving on the School Board and representing our district.

Thank you for your support!
